One day at a time. One step at a time. Never miss a day
No excuses
5+ Years . 2000 Days. 8000 Stairs . 200,000 Push ups .
To mark the occasion, I will be hosting a 2,000-day celebration on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the base of the Dundurn Stairs.

My Name is Brandon Dean
On June 29, 2026, I will celebrate an unusual personal milestone: 2,000 consecutive days of climbing the Dundurn Escarpment Stairs in Hamilton.

What began as a simple commitment during the COVID-19 pandemic evolved into a daily wellness practice that I have maintained for more than five and a half years without missing a single day. My routine consists of climbing the 330 Dundurn stairs four times each day, along with completing 25 push-ups at the top of each climb.

While the number itself is significant, the story is really about the power of consistency, resilience, and mental wellness. Through all weather conditions, personal challenges, and life's ups and downs, this daily ritual has helped me maintain physical health, emotional balance, and a sense of purpose.
I believe the story may resonate with others because it demonstrates how small, consistent actions can create meaningful and lasting change. It's also a positive Hamilton story that highlights one of the city's most recognizable landmarks.
